The shortlist for the 2024 Children’s Book Council of Australia Awards has been announced.

Congratulations to all of the nominated authors and illustrators! 👏

It sparks so much joy and creativity when I see these wonderful books! Sometimes, I am a bid sad that my kids have grown up and as yet I have no grandkids to buy for, but it doesn’t stop me from indulging in children’s books for my own enjoyment.

Children’s literature holds so much charm, magic and wisdom that resonates with readers of all ages. There is no age limit on appreciating beautiful illustrations and engaging storytelling.

The winners and honours are announced on Friday, 16th August 2024.
